Kitty Construction

1:00 am

Every year about this time, when the weather is changing from nice to nasty for the season, I start thinking that this year I’ll finally follow through on plans to buy or build a kitty condo to keep my cats from driving me–and each other!–nuts while we’re cooped up inside.

Well, this fall I have gone so far as to get online and look for nfo about cat furniture. Youch! Too much! Too much! I was starting to think that eHow had no other info than about how to build cat climbing structures. Looks like some other sites probably have similar overload but at this point, I think I’ve got the idea!

Anyway, in case any of you have been thinking along similar lines, here’s the information I’ve found so far, to save you a bit of time.

Busy

2:30 a.m. MDT

A pretty productive few days. Have sorted out all the difficulties with both my banking and my domain hosting. All I have left to do on the banking front is to actually go down to the bank and collect the last $15.87 that Bank of America is holding hostage.

Sigh… I’ve had that account for 23 years. Used to be a wonderful bank to deal with but then some bigwig executives made some huge money-losing blunders. Never occurred to them to make the people who actually made the “investments” pay back the losses, so all the sudden they think that their lowly customers, such as yours truly, should be making up the loss by paying excessive and unreasonable fees. (Sure, things are so bad everywhere that nobody’s paying interest on savings accounts anymore, but Bank of America is now charging to even have a savings account! Putting your money in the mattress is looking better and better!)

Most of my time since getting back online a couple days ago has been devoted to getting my website updated and back online. (Most of the free sites where I had things posted quit doing free webhosting but I hadn’t gotten around to moving everything yet.)

Just uploaded a bunch of the simpler pages. Amazing how much time it takes to make sure all the little details are updated correctly! Good warm up for some of the more challenging pages. Some of those were created in less time than it will take to check all the links! At any rate, things are underway.
